The plate and billet reading system detects the numerical or alphanumeric characters on the slab or billets marked by the marking device, which are positioned at the exit of the continuous casting machine (CCM) or at the mill inlet, using thermal image processing OCR technologies. By using the detected billet identification information, the final product quality and properties are fully guaranteed by providing traceability.
Designed in accordance with severe environmental conditions, the design has the strength to operate at the same performance at high temperatures with minimum maintenance costs. Traceability, will help companies (eg aviation, automotive, petrochemical etc) that have adopted the industry 4.0 strategy and produce high quality products to better understand their internal processes and provide the necessary product information to the customer.
